Biodontics®

Biodontics® is the branch of dentistry that promotes diagnosis and prevention of craniofacial abnormalities of teeth and orofacial structures using genomic and gene editing technologies and uses bio-based materials of cellular origin, including stem cells, for the repair, restoration, and replacement of lost tooth structure. 1 A goal for Biodontics® is to replace the traditional xenodontic dental practice, which uses nonbiological materials (metals, plastics) that are foreign to the body.1
