The Center for Research and Education in Technology
To develop a research program for the scientific evaluation of new technologies and an educational program to produce a new generation of competent and qualified graduates in entrepreneurship, management and technology transfer as well as clinical dentistry for academia and industry.
CRET is dedicated to:
Developing research and educational programs that promote discovery, innovation and the commercialization of new dental, oral and craniofacial technologies and products
Providing scientists and oral health professionals with resources to conduct research and development in technology evaluation
Playing a major role in the national effort to develop and deploy the next generation of technologies to dental schools
Examining academic needs in research, education, and commerce and assist in developing policies and programs to meet these needs
Overcoming existing barriers to the introduction of new and innovative technologies into the dental market
The Center for Research and Education in Technology, CRET, will be divided into three components:
